Remy 9 x 12 Acrylic Pet Portrait

SOLD

I've had the good fortune of painting a pet portrait of Remy. She is a West Highland Terrier owned by Geoff and Jane Hatch. We started the commission with a wonderful day taking her photographs last fall and tragically that same night she was attacked by a coyote. Remy sustained some bad wounds from the attack but lived to see many happy Colorado days with her owners. Consequently, her portrait was a pleasure to do for Geoff and Jane. They were pleased with the results and have Remy safe at home sitting under her portrait. Thanks, Geoff and Jane!

Into the Light 6 x 6 Acylic Urban Landscape Painting

$100.00 + $10.00 S/H

Sometimes just the way the light is hitting something so common like a closed door on a porch will transform it into a wonderful subject for a painting. Today I caught this scene just at the right time to make magic happen on the canvas!

Sunflower Vista Acrylic 5 x 7 Impressionistic Southern Colorado Landscape

SOLD

Colorado has such beautiful scenery. I was on my way to my parents house in Durango Colorado when I stopped to take some pictures. When the clouds shade the mountains and the foreground is in the sun light magical things happen. The mountains turn such a vibrant colbalt blue they look like jewels in the landscape. The color of the mountains compliment the spectacular yellow of the sunflowers. Perfect symmetry!

Unexpected Snow Acrylic 5 x 7 Impressionistic Urban Landscape

SOLD

An unexpected spring snow storm caught this bicyclist off guard. He was maneuvering pretty well in the slush on the streets. I thought if he can ride in it, I can paint a painting of it to document his plight.

Botswana on Fire Acrylic 40 x 30 Impressionistic Landscape of Africa

This is another scene from Africa which I was allowed to use from my friend and Client Doug. The way the sun was hitting this field of grasses was spectacular. I just had to paint it. I really had fun using the pallet knife in the grass to give it a more abstract quality. Thanks again Doug!

Sometimes you don't have to get to far from the road to get a good composition for a painting and in this case I was on the road! This was just north of Taos, New Mexico.

Snack Time Acrylic 12 x 9 Impressionistic Animal Painting

$1150.00 + $20.00 S/H Framed Price

This is another painting from the pictures given to me by Doug, a good client and friend. He and his family went on safari in Africa this fall. This elephant looks like gentle giant but looks can be deceiving. Even though the elephant seemed to be into his snack the guide was very careful to keep a respectful distance. If angered or spooked he could be anything but gentle. Regardless of temperament he was a fantastic model. Thanks Doug!
